Ms. Wonderful Created by: Katharine B. March Made possible by support from: The Barn at 678 Vineyard This is the Labrador who’d rather chat than fetch. Artist Katharine B. March hand-lettered this vibrant pink Labrador from nose to tail with an entire vocabulary of W-words—“woof,” “wink,” “watch,” “wonder,” “welcome,” “whistle,” “wag,” “walkies,” and more. The words flow in curved lines across every inch of the body, creating a playful pattern that feels almost like the dog is bursting with things to say. A bright green collar adds another pop of color, while cheerful white daisies are scattered throughout the design, breaking up the lettering and adding to Ms. Wonderful’s unmistakably joyful personality. What began with a single word grew into a full celebration of language, making this statue especially fun to explore. Take a closer look and see how many words you can find—you’re sure to discover something new each time you look at her. With her bold color, clever design, and unmistakable personality, Ms. Wonderful would be right at home in a library, reading nook, book-lined study, classroom, office, or anywhere words and dogs are equally welcome. She’s more than a statue—she’s a conversation starter.
