From Scent to Source Created by: Susan Edginton Made possible by support from: Your Dog Knows A dog’s nose is a superpower—and this Labrador celebrates it in unforgettable fashion. Artist Susan Edington covered this Labrador in a dense, colorful pattern of paw prints, hearts, and bones, with playful sketches of different dog breeds woven throughout the design. Look closely and you’ll discover French bulldogs, a golden retriever, and other canine companions hidden among the colorful details. But the real surprise is in the noses. Raised, sculpted dog noses are embedded directly into the design, each one different and adding another layer of texture and dimension to the piece. Together, they celebrate the incredible diversity of our canine companions and one of their most remarkable abilities: their extraordinary sense of smell. With its bright colors, intricate details, and unexpected three-dimensional elements, From Scent to Source is a statue you’ll want to explore up close. There’s always another paw print, face, or nose to discover. Whether you’re a lifelong dog lover, a fan of colorful art, or simply fascinated by what makes dogs so extraordinary, this one-of-a-kind Labrador would make a playful and memorable addition to a home, library, office, or business.
