Bee-Long Here Created & made possible by support from: Friends of Josie Inspired by Josie, the beloved facility dog at the Virginia Tech Cook Counseling Center. Josie is a Service Dogs of Virginia-trained facility dog who works alongside the counseling center team, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for students. Bee-Long Here celebrates the comfort, connection, and healing she brings to the Virginia Tech community and honors the impact she has made across the Tech campus. Thirty-seven shimmering bees surround the Labrador—one for every 1,000 students at Virginia Tech—representing the many students whose lives Josie has touched. Golden accents throughout the design celebrate Josie’s own beautiful coat. Virginia Tech faculty came together to sponsor and paint this meaningful piece, making it a special tribute to a dog who has become part of the Hokie community. And best of all, the real Josie will be with us on auction night, cheering you on as you raise your paddle for this one-of-a-kind Labrador!
